While the heart of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season kicks off with the Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen next weekend and includes five races in nine weeks, a couple of WeatherTech Championship regulars will do a bit of moonlighting and compete in NASCAR road course events during off weekends this summer.

IMSA Teams, Drivers Return Following Eventful 24 Hours of Le Mans

When Jordan Taylor started the final lap in last Sunday’s 24 Hours of Le Mans, the 26-year-old IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship regular was one lap from history: his second career Le Mans triumph, a sixth consecutive victory going back to a perfect 5-for-5 start alongside brother Ricky Taylor in WeatherTech Championship competition, and a remarkable ninth class victory for Corvette at Le Mans.

But when the No. 63 Chevrolet Corvette C7.R came around for the checkered flag 8.46 miles later, Taylor limped across the finish line in third, the victim of a punctured tire.
